Strengthening Our Presence in the Drinking Water Sector
On 16 June, ECC officially became a member of the European Drinking Water (EDW) network. Joining the network represents an important step in strengthening our collaboration with regulators, industry experts, laboratories, and other stakeholders working to ensure the safety, quality, and sustainability of drinking water. Through this membership, ECC looks forward to actively contributing to discussions on evolving regulatory requirements, technical developments, and best practices that impact the sector.
Building on this momentum, ECC participated in the 5th Symposium on Materials and Products in Contact with Drinking Water, held in Brussels on 17 June 2026. The symposium brought together policymakers, competent authorities, manufacturers, testing organisations, and industry representatives to discuss the latest developments surrounding materials and products intended for contact with drinking water.
The event provided a valuable platform to exchange perspectives on the implementation of the revised Drinking Water Directive, harmonisation efforts across Europe, and the evolving regulatory framework for materials in contact with drinking water. These discussions are essential in supporting innovation while maintaining the highest standards of public health protection.
By engaging in initiatives such as the EDW network and participating in key industry events, ECC continues to strengthen its role within the European drinking water community. We remain committed to staying at the forefront of regulatory and technical developments, fostering collaboration, and helping our clients navigate an increasingly dynamic regulatory landscape.
We look forward to contributing to future discussions and working alongside our partners to support safe, sustainable, and compliant drinking water systems across Europe.
