14-17 November 2022 - International Product Safety Week

Every two years, since 2006, the European Commission’s Directorate General for Justice and Consumers brings safety experts from all around the world for International Product Safety Week.

This year’s event will focus on “New horizons for product safety”. It will include sessions on new trends in e-commerce and how market surveillance can adjust to keep pace with these changes. It will also look at new technologies, both in terms of new risks they pose when applied to consumer products and opportunities they create for more effective product safety enforcement. The role of youth, civil society and women in product safety will also be discussed, including in workshops organised with the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
